30, Flirty and Thriving!

Remember that show 13 going on 30? I am convinced that I am still in my teens, but the calendar tends not to agree. I am spending my last 2 days in my twenties! Weird. It doesn't seem to bother me much, maybe it should? My friend Amy just turned 30 last week so we are having a party to commiserate the big event. I had to share our invite
because it makes me laugh.

Tiger Woods!

We were watching headline news yesterday over lunch and they were talking about Tiger Woods and his recent drama. William was sitting at the table and he yells. "Tiger Woods!" I looked up in surprise and asked him what he knew about tiger woods and he said "yea, it's like a forest full of tigers" He had this tone of awe in his voice, it made me laugh. I love kids. They keep things simple.

Valentine's Day Breakfast

I told you all that I was going to do it, so I did. Red Velvet Pancakes. I didn't get the kids a valentine this year, so I wanted to do something special for the kids on Valentine's Day. They loved it, and so did Brian and I. They were so amazingly good. the trick is to cook them really slow so that they don't brown. (around 275-300)This was the kids version.
This was Mom's version. Oooolala.

I think that this is going to be a tradition from now on for sure!

Incredible Student of the Week! ....and visitors

Will had his Valentine's party this Friday and I am so glad that I was there because Will recieved the "Incredible Student of the Week" award from the principal. I love his proud little smile. I love going to his class and watching him interact with his friends and Teachers. My Mom and Dad came up last night for a quick visit and since it was my Momma's birthday, we figured the only right thing to do would be to go and celebrate @ Applebee's. The boys would not leave Grandma and Papa alone, they sure love it when they visit. Brian and I had the other booth bench all to ourselves. It was like bringing our baby sitter to the restaurant.
On a side note, my Dad gave Brian a rifle of some sorts for his bday. I will have to post pics later. And on another random side note, I went to a really fun jewelry party on Thursday night and to my surprise, I found "My Purse!" So first, of all, I have this strange obsession with anything lime green and a year or so ago, while visiting Old Faithful, I saw a lady with this purse. I fell in love. I have searched and searched, but could never find anything like it. I almost gave up and bought a plain lime green purse last week at Target, but I am so glad I was patient because I found my purse! Ahhhhh. It makes me so happy. Brian of course just laughed when I walked in the door. Good thing he loves me for my quirky taste in anything lime green or bright orange. So without further ado, here it is.
Awe. Cute! It this purse not me or what?

Copy Cat Valentine......Thanks Laura

I waited until last minute to make Will's Valentine's this year and wasn't sure what to do. He wanted a comic theme again, but I didn't want it to be the same as last year (as if anyone would care. New state, new class.... oh wait, I WOULD CARE) Anyhow, long story short, my friend Laura posted her ADORABLE Valentine's for her little girl today and I just had to copy her. I got something new, and Will got his Comic Valentine. It was a win win.

All you do it take a pic of them holding their hand up in a fist and cut a slit @ the top and bottom of the fist to slide your sucker in. Voila.

Night School

Last night I got home from playing hoops about 10:30 and slummed around the house for awhile before I headed to bed. Just as I dozed off, I awoke to my little William @ my bedside. "Hey Mom" he says, " I am up and I am going to go get ready for school" I glanced @ the clock and it was midnight. I laughed and I told him that I just went to bed. "Well, why did you go to bed so late Mom?" I continued to explain to him that it was still night time. It took some convincing, but I finally got him back in bed and to sleep. Unfortunately he was back up @ 6:00 this morning and was getting ready for school. I find this ironic because I ALWAYS have to drag him out of bed in the morning for school. Not today.
