I'm in LOVE, I'm in LOVE and I don't care who knows it!

I am basically still on an adrenaline high from looking at houses yesterday! This is better than drugs (So they tell me) So, we still want to wait a couple months before we put an offer in on a house but we found 3 houses that we LOVE!!! Unfortunately, Brian's favorite and my favorite are 2 different houses. What to do. Both houses are AMAZING and I don't really think we can go wrong, but we thought we would post pics and do a little online poll. We will not tell you who's is who's as not to sway your votes. We need your votes and opinion as homeowners, mothers and fathers, brothers and sisters, patriot Americans, it is your duty to help us select a house that will unify us as a family! Plus if my house doesn't win, this poll will not be used due to margin of error being to large!

HOUSE #1
Pro's-Landscaped, covered patio facing east, sweet kitchen with awesome cabinets and granite counter tops, Laundry room with sink off of garage, bigger master bedroom, bath, and closet. Layout of master bath is unique, nice neighborhood, air conditioning

Con's- Small pantry, basement layout funky, smaller yard, busier street, different carpet, smaller family room and dining area, street on a slope

House #2
Pro's: Beautiful view, large family room, large dining area, cool arches throughout, formal sitting area, higher quality finishing, large yard, neighborhood more spread out, lots of natural sunlight, gorgeous front door, nicely laid out basement, cold storage in basement, nearby ravine, located on quiet end cul-de-sac, granite counter tops with accenting granite tiles throughout

Con's: Drive through older neighborhood to access, not landscaped, more yard work, maybe higher utilities, covered patio facing west, driveway facing east, nearby ravine

I think I like House #1 the best. I like teh looks of it the best. The kitchen is cool in House #2 but I wouldn't like to drive through a older neighborhood to get to a newer house/ I might jsut be a brat though I am interested to know what one each of you liked.

I think I would choose house # 2, mainly because you said the yard is bigger and it is not on a busy street (I guess there is a ravin nearby hum..) I think that house #1 is staged better, but # 2 has more potential. Good luck house hunting!

Hmmm, both homes are absolutely BEAUTIFUL! But, I'm leaning more toward house number 2.... but I also love doing yard work and stuff like that. I like how open number 2 feels. Number 1 feels a little bit more crowded, but still very nice.

House number 1 looks stunning too! Wow! Such hard choices!

Good luck!

I like to looks of #1 but would go for #2 because of location and room. I think I can tell which house Brian likes better!!
Good luck, I am sure both are great.

I like house #2. would you go to different schools or wards based on the location? If so you should check out what ward you like better.

Number 1. But I think you should just move in with me.

How fun! I love house hunting, wish it were me!! those are both great homes! Hmmmm... my advice after living in three homes is to get as good a feel for the neighborhood/ area as you can... that is HUGE! putting in a yard is $$$$ and LOTS of WORK and time!!! I would also be sure to think about room to grow- moving stinks so be sure there is plenty of room to grow into, to host visitors toy room, office etc... (if you can)
I think my vote is for #2
Good luck!!

Do not live on a street that is busy. You will never feel comfortable with the kids in the front yard, even if you are out there with them (think Castleford Drive).

And if your patio faces west you will never us it with the hot afternoon sun. Ours faces south and that is still too much sun in the afternoons. But the natural light, cold storage, and layout is a big plus as well as a quiet cul-de-sac. Just don't let Brian "Evil Knievel" his afternoons away across the ravine.

Do not envy you... Been there, done that, ain't move again.

Okay, I know you have been waiting on my comment and my comment alone, since I will basically be living in your guest room...so I guess whichever house has the sweetest penthouse of a guestroom is my vote! Just kidding...After much deliberation and thoughtful prayer I have chosen to endorse house number one. Both homes are seriously beautiful, but I really love the look and feel of house number one. I like the darker homey colors. So there you have it. Feel free to buy one now that I have given you my input.

wow, that's a tough choice... where are these houses first of all- it'd be nice to know where you are moving to. I like the landscape of #1, but I LOVE the kitchen of #2, if it were me, I'd go with 2 because I live in the kitchen- if you don't believe me, ask my hips and butt! Good luck choosing, oh, and you can't go wrong with cul-de-sacs! Great for kids!

I don't think I can vote because I know who's is who's...both are great and I can't wait to help you move in!!! Yea, you'll be an Idahoan once again. The countdown begins.

The vote is in and we are sticking with house number one. We like the color scheme a lot more in house number one and we like the layout better also. So officially our vote is house NUMBER ONE!!! Good luck!

My vote is house #2. Yard work is fun, and in the end you'll be happier with a nicer yard that you planned. Living in a cul de sac would rock! I don't think driving through an old neighborhood to get to yours would be that big of a deal. The only big downside is the west facing patio. Lots of patio tables with umbrellas, maybe? I agree with the comment above about finding out about the schools, that is critical!

They are both great, and by the way, there is nothing I love more than looking at houses. It's so fun!

House #1: LOVE the laundry room with sink idea. Also, love that it's already landscaped. We put in our own lawn (well, paid to have it done) and it was not only expensive, but super time consuming and high maintenance. We are still struggling to keep it "established" after three years. I also love the attention to decor in that house. It's just so cute!

House #2: You really can never go wrong with living in a cul-de-sac. You'd LOVE it with kids. I grew up on a busy street and hated it. I always wished I was like the cool kids that lived in the cul-de-sac. Anyway, all that aside, I think I like that kitchen better too, and the fact that it's brand new is always a plus for me.

So, if I HAD to choose, I guess I'd say house #2, with a possible change of mind and swinging to #1. I guess it's too close to call right now. :)

I think number 1, but really you just need to make a decision, pray and go with it :), but of course you already know that!

I like house # 2 because the cons on house # 1 are everything I wouldn't want in a home and the pro's on #2 are what I would like. I am all for the huge yard, not busy street, etc etc but it looks like you can't go wrong either way. Good luck!
