It is practically February right? I was so excited at how cute these are turning out, I just had to post them. I am making these fun Valentine's for my kids and their cousins and they have loved them so much I thought I would spread the word. Now it is time for a little self promotion. I just started a new blog and I have an etsy shop where I post my ideas and birth announcements and such as..... If you or anyone you know are interested in a Valentine, I am more than happy to make one for you. Just visit my blog I Want 2 remember for details and more fun samples. I also have an Etsy shop set up http://www.iwant2remember.etsy.com. There is a friends and family discount, so let me know that you want one before you order it so I can adjust the price. Just e-mail me or post a comment if you have any questions. This is my first official act on getting my website set up and I will be posting all of my projects and ideas there.

Little Things

My kids like applesauce and eat it pretty well, but my sister taught me this awesome trick and now they LOVE their applesauce and are always begging to have some. You take the bigger jar of applesauce and and dump it into a bowl and then add a packet of sugar free jello of choice and mix together and then put back into the jar. My kids go nuts over this stuff and everytime we go to the store, they are so excited to pick out a new flavor for their applesauce. I love little tips like this so I thought I would share.

Poor air quality never looked so good

While we were out at my parents this past weekend, it felt so reminiscent of childhood during the winter. The inversions are an everyday thing during the winter and it can be foggy for weeks at a time. It can get a little old when you have to deal with it everyday, but I had forgotten how beautiful it can be. All the fog and moisture that would dust the trees, bushes and grass always looked so amazing and I was fascinated with it as a kid and had to snap a few pics for old times sake. Oh, and I just posted this pic of Teenie because she is cute. These trees are in my parents yard
These are just up the street a bit, but I have always loved them, but look out, there is usually an ice patch here during the winter.

Looks can be Deceiving

This week Harmon's have their cereal on sale, so I went in to grab some and also grabbed some fresh blackberries and blueberries because they were on sale for a 1.00! What do you do with fresh blueberries besides try to keep them away from Grey so he doesn't eat the entire package in one sitting? I decided to make some fresh blueberry muffins. I am not an expert baker, but I am trying o get better at it. I browsed all recipes and found this one. "To Die for Blueberry Muffins" it had like 2500 reviews and had 4 1/2 stars so I figured that it would be a good one. The batter was super thick and needless to say I put way too much of the topping on so they sank a little and they weren't very pretty because the topping ran all over the place. My review ***** 5 stars! YUMO! They are not much to look at, but wow. They taste like a coffee shop muffin with the thick moist texture. Next time I will make it into 9 muffins instead of 8 and put about half the topping on and I think they will look as good as they taste. Here is the link if you want to give it a try while the berries are affordable.

One of the many reasons you crack me up Jer

From the creator of: Crapface, Oh snap!, and eleventy, my bro in law Jer gave us another reason to laugh our guts out this past weekend in Logan. I was standing in the kitchen preparing my Marshmallow Mateys when I looked up and I saw Jer standing at the top of the stairs with a confused look on his face as he began to laugh. After further investigation, I found out why. If you think this only happens in movies, or nightmares of high school, you are wrong. As Jer was coming up the stairs, he heard a funny brushing sound. What is that?He looks down to find some toilet paper tucked into his pants. We follow it around the corner,
down 2 flights of stairs,
and into the downstairs bathroom. The toilet paper was still attached to the roll!!!! That is some strong paper folks! That is impressive Jer! I love you! You freaking crack me up. Thanks for another fun whirlwind trip to Logan.

2 new loves

The first new love is Mo's toes. She loves them oh, so very much, it cracks me up. Whenever I take her booties off, (usually to change her bum) she sees them and snatches them right up to play with them and gets irritated when I have to move her legs to do up her diaper.Could you not just eat her up?

The second new love is Mo and Grey. Grey has developed this new obsession with Mojo, it is so sweet. He talks to her all the time, wants to hold her all the time and I can often find him peering over the crib talking to her when she wakes up from her naps. He gets so excited when she smiles and squeals at him and since he loves his gloworm that he got for christmas, he is always running and getting her the hippo that she got for Christmas so she has an animal to snuggle too.
"oohhh, I like her"
This is a classis Grey-ism and it is my favorite. If you have heard him say it, you can probably hear it right now. He says it in this sweet high-pitched voice. I think I will cry when he no longer says it, but it is usually "I like him" reffering to his blanket, but now he uses it for Mo and her hippo and has appropriately changed the sex to"her" I think they will be good friends

1 little, 2 little, 3 little stitches

Wow, this morning as I was headed to McDonalds for our weekly play-date, I never would have imagined the day I had ahead of me. I look forward to this day all week. The kids get to run around like maniacs while I get to sit and chat it up with my friends. We got into the play area, I sat mo down on the bench and helped Grey over to the slides. He was a little nervous so I waited for Will to come down the slide to take him up the stairs. He willingly agreed and they took off up the stairs like a flash. We found out today that socks on the feet and plastic play-place stairs do not get along. As Will ran up the stairs, he slipped and hit his head and I heard a cry come out of him that I have never heard before. That is when I knew he was serious. I helped him off the stairs and turned him around and wow, blood...lots of blood..after a quick analysis by every single mother in the place, and a quick call to the best looking pediatrician in the world, we decided that my little man needed stitches. This is where I give a huge shout out to all of my friends at our play group today. HOLLA! You guys are lifesavers! Everyone offered to help and take my kids, you rock! Thanks Nicole for taking my Grey bear home, and Katie and Hailey for totally spoiling him with popsicles and ice cream. I am pretty sure that almost everyone that was there has called to check on us, we feel so loved. I love you all. And now onto the main event, luckily Koe had her camera out in a flash and we were able to get some very sad pics at McD's before we headed up to primary's for stitches.

Will was such a brave little fella. He only cried for a few seconds at McDonalds
He even managed to force a little smile

Will had to show off his sweet hospital identification
I had to post all of his pics because he was being so funny.
He chose this pose himself
This is my favorite, he cracks me up! He now brags that the doctor said he was most perfect patient. The Dr. gave him the big syringe that cleaned his wound, referred to as the "squirt gun" because he was so good. When he got home Uncle Jer asked him where he got it, he said "The doctor gave it to me because I was AWESOME!"
He did not even need to be sedated, he let the doctor go about his business and even laughed at his jokes and thanked him when he was done. It is always good idea to be polite to the man stitchin you up. I think having Dad there helped him stay calm. Bri drew him a picture of what was going to happen and then some sweet pics of Darth Vader to pass the time while his lip was being numbed.
Tonight his lip was a little swollen, but that didn't stop him from chowing down his food at Famous Daves. I am just seriously so proud of my brave little man.

Thanks Mom, Dinner was delicious!

I was feeling all healthy like and wanted to try a new recipe last night. Cashew Chicken, the picture looked so yummy so I figured that I would give it a try. After going to Target, forgetting my wallet, driving home to get my wallet, going back to Target, then to Wal-mart to get my veggies, I got the kids ready for their naps and was ready to chop my veggies and realized that the carrots that I had picked out were missing. I checked my receipt and I didn't pay for them. I remember getting them and putting them in a bag, but alas they did not make it home with me. So I put the kids in the car again and run to Harmons to buy the stupid carrots. Finally after all the shopping and chopping and stir frying, dinner was done, and we sat down together to eat. In the stir Fry there was, chicken, zucchini, carrots, cabbage, mushrooms and onions and of course, rice. I must first ask this question "Can you get your kids to eat veggies?" I have such a hard time getting my children to eat them so I started dinner with a little speech that went something like this "heavenly father gave us these amazing bodies and that we need to fill them with things that are good for us. Vegetables are included on this list of things that are good for us, so we need to learn to love them and try new things." Dad follows up with, "now I don't want to hear one "I don't like this" while you are eating tonight." And so we begin eating, Grey of course fights us the entire time, nothing new, and Will chokes down several bites with a forced smile on his face and says "yummy" while grimacing to force the food down his throat. After I finish my dinner I try to help Will eat a little faster by helping him take a bite. He chews for a second, gags, and then promptly throws up what he has managed to choke down. COME ON, THEY ARE FREAKING VEGETABLES! Am I asking too much to get my kids to branch out from corn and peas? Maybe I need to do baby steps and not force a whole plate of new things on them. I on the other hand thought that it was delicious, but apparently not very kid friendly. I am so glad I went to all the effort of making it.

The power of the force

There are a few Star Wars Maniacs at our house and tonight I got caught in the middle of a light saber battle. The boys and Bri had quite the time "killing" each other. Grey at one point poked poor defenseless Mo and declared "I killed Morgan, she died." I am not sure how I feel about them "killing" each other, but it was pretty funny when Bri stabbed Grey and he fell to the floor and dropped his saber appropriately. I guess they are just mimicking what they see on Star Wars, but it is somewhat shocking when your 2 yr old says he killed his little sister, oh and then Mommy.
Hello! Is that sweet form or what Will?
Grey is getting ready to unleash the the "Dark Side" (should I be worried that he usually wants to be Darth Vader?)
That is Bri's arm battling Will
Yikes! Grey now has 2 sabers! Lookout!
He sure is a sweet looking little dark lord.

Yep, More Mo ( can we really get sick of her though?)

I made my first attempt at making her a headband and clip and I think it turned out pretty good. I didn't have the right glue for the nylon so I will have to try that again, but I really like how the flower turned out. I had to get some pics of her in her cute pink dress and matching flower.
All dressed up for church.
Getting tired of Mom messing with me!
She was actually happily squealing in this pic, but I guess she looks a little sad
And for the grand finale! Me! Okay so I absolutley almost hate everything about this pic, my smile is bad, my eyes are all wrinkly, and hello brace face! So why post it for the whole world to see, well, I cannot get over my hair! I was leaned up against the couch and just messing with my camera and snapped a few pics. I laughed so hard when I looked at it. Does it not look like I belong in Whoville or something? Awesome. My posterity will be so proud of their lineage!

Funny little Mo

Things were so crazy over the holidays, that I forgot to post some funny pics of Mojo.
The boys had spilled soap in the tub, and I was trying to clean it up so I could give Mo a bath, then I just decided to make the most of it. She didn't seem to mind one bit. I am worried, however, that she is going to suck those 2 fingers right off!
She loves them so much, she figured Dad should have a taste! Dad doesn't love them as much as Mo but she keeps testing to see if he has changed his mind.

Happy New Year!

We had a blast partying last night @ Jason & Stacy's house. Homemade boneless buffalo wings..........mmmmmmmmmm .......(my favorite thing Bri makes) Playing the wii, making fun of each other playing the wii, pulling muscles playing the wii...and the highlight for me was when my sweet little niece Lilly beat her older bro Nathan in bowling on the wii. Savor it Lilly! Oh, and let's not forget the cheesecake! Here are our first pics of the new year.

Mo so so so so so so tired.
Will & Grey lasted until about 10:00 and then they were begging for a bed, this is them in the car on the way home.
I had a bad face night last night so this was my idea of hiding that fact. I am not sure that it helped things out how I thought it was going to. :)
GIANT BRIAN
He he, this pic makes me laugh, I know this place is small, but not THAT small. Bri finally busted out the wi fit tonight, it looks like it is going to be so fun and whip us into shape. Will looks so tiny in this pic
