Shhhhh........don't tell Dad

Brian has been working the wards the past 3 weeks, and rarely makes it home for dinner. I asked the kids what they wanted for dinner and they of course, chose pancakes. (it is a step above cereal or hot dogs right?) So I did. Much to my boys surprise, they got this....
Strawberry chocolate chip pancakes with a peach smile, chocolate chip eyes, marshmallow nose and whip cream hair with sprinkles. (technically, there was strawberries in the pancakes and the peach smile is fruit so it's not that bad is it?)
Needless to say, they each had two...... Will and Grey kept saying "this is delicious" "this is the best dinner ever!" I wish I heard that more often...figures!
Since I am not a perfect mom, this is how I get my kids to like me :)

what a fun idea. Once in awhile eating like that is just fine. I am sure your kids thought you were the greatest mom.

I LOVE IT! I think you are a wonderful Mom. My kids got much less for dinner last night. Ady had a bagel with cream cheese, Tanner oatmeal, Matthew peanut butter and jelly. Davis was busy and I was exhausted. They had the option of cold cereal but no takers. LOL I'm sure if pancakes had been an option, they would've gone for that.
IF you are feeling quilty (which you shouldn't) you could always make wheat pancakes (my kids LOVE them) and use a banana for the nose. Also, Ady dislikes chocolate, so I'd have to find something different for the eyes...hmmm, maybe "mini" marshmallows....LOL Keep up the good work. I'm impressed you have whip cream and sprinkles on hand. I might just have to put that on my grocery list.
